Report: Wiseman signs with agent, ending collegiate career
Potential No. 1 overall pick James Wiseman has signed with Excel Sports for his NBA representation, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The move officially ends the freshman's collegiate career.
Last week, Wiseman announced his decision to leave Memphis and begin preparing for the 2020 NBA Draft.
The 7-foot-1 center appeared in just three games before the NCAA suspended him 12 contests for receiving $11,500 from head coach Penny Hardaway to aid his family's move to Memphis from Nashville. The incident occurred before Hardaway became the Tigers' bench boss.
The McDonald's All-American was also fined $11,500, which will be donated to a charity of his choice.
Wiseman averaged 19.7 points, 10.7 boards, and three blocks during his brief stint in Memphis. The Tennessee native was the top-ranked recruit on the ESPN 100 in 2019.
