The 6-foot-7 power forward is ESPN's third-ranked sit-out transfer.
Santos-Silva is taking classes this summer, however, and should graduate before the next academic year, sources told ESPN's Jeff Borzello. In doing so, he would be classified as a graduate transfer and be immediately eligible for the upcoming 2020-21 campaign.
Santos-Silva averaged team highs in points (12.8), rebounds (8.9), and blocks (1.3) per game last season. He ranked second in the Atlantic 10 with a 56.9% field-goal percentage and fourth in the conference with 277 total boards.
Texas Tech posted an 18-13 overall record this past season, including a 9-9 mark in Big-12 play.
The Red Raiders are due to bounce back with five-star recruit Nimari Burnett and four-star prospect Micah Peavy set to join the team in 2020-21.
