North Carolina star Garrison Brooks entered the transfer portal Friday, sources told Hoop Scoop Media.
Brooks was selected as the preseason ACC Player of the Year ahead of the 2020-21 campaign. However, his numbers regressed during his senior year, and he averaged just 10.2 points and 6.9 boards over 28 appearances last season.
The 6-foot-10 forward started 108 games over four years at North Carolina. Brooks finished fourth in ACC scoring (16.8 points per game) and fifth in rebounding (8.5) en route to earning the conference's Most Improved Player award in 2019-20.
The Tar Heels have some huge holes to fill in their frontcourt after Day'Ron Sharpe declared for the NBA draft and Walker Kessler entered the transfer portal.
