Projected top-3 pick Evan Mobley declares for NBA draft
USC's Evan Mobley announced Friday his decision to enter the 2021 NBA Draft. He's expected to be a top-three pick following a stellar freshman campaign.
Mobley, 19, was a consensus second-team All-American after guiding the Trojans to a 25-8 regular-season record this season. He was also the Pac-12 Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and Freshman of the Year.
The 7-footer became just the second player from a major Division I conference to earn all three conference awards after Anthony Davis accomplished the feat with SEC powerhouse Kentucky in 2012.
A former McDonald's All-American and five-star recruit, Mobley led the Trojans in points (16.4), rebounds (8.7), and blocks (2.9) this past season; his block mark was sixth-best in the nation.
