The 6-foot-11 big man is the fourth-ranked center and 18th-ranked overall prospect on the ESPN 100 for 2021.
Florida State, NC State, and Pittsburgh were among the schools also pursuing Reid.
Overtime Elite, a newly formed pro basketball league for high school players, offered Reid a low-to-mid six-figure salary, but he opted for the collegiate route instead, a source told Forbes' Adam Zagoria.
Reid joins four-star prospects Jerrell Colbert and Brandon Murray in the Tigers' 2021 recruiting class.
Will Wade has made some significant additions to his program this offseason. Ex-Missouri guard Xavier Pinson and former four-star recruit Adam Miller also came to LSU as transfers.
