USC signee Isaiah Collier trying to recruit Bronny James to Trojans
Five-star point guard Isaiah Collier is hoping to see Bronny James join him in a Trojans uniform next season.
Collier, a USC signee and the No. 1 recruit in 247Sports' 2023 composite rankings, revealed ahead of Tuesday's McDonald's All-American Game that he's been trying to convince James to team up with him.
"I'm looking forward to (playing with him), and I'm definitely trying to recruit him," Collier said of James, according to 247Sports' Eric Bossi. "I'm just telling him he can stay home, that's all I've got say."
Collier isn't the only player making recruiting efforts ahead of the McDonald's All-American Game. Oregon signee Mookie Cook, who's set to star as James' dad in the upcoming biopic "Shooting Stars," wants him to join the Ducks.
"With him maybe going to Oregon, of course we want him - I want him," Cook said. "He's super good on both sides of the ball. (He's) a great point guard, he can shoot, get to the rim, and pretty much do all three things. He's a good leader."
James hasn't announced what he plans to do after graduating from Sierra Canyon in Los Angeles this year. Reports have suggested that LeBron James' eldest son is deciding between USC, Oregon, and Ohio State.
