UConn's Donovan Clingan sidelined 3-4 weeks with foot injury
The UConn Huskies will be without star center Donovan Clingan for three-to-four weeks due to a right foot injury, the team announced, according to CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein.
Clingan injured his foot during the second half of UConn's loss to Seton Hall on Wednesday. The Huskies' center had scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds before leaving the game.
This is the second time the 7-foot-2 sophomore has missed time with a foot injury this season. Clingan was sidelined for a month with a foot strain in September but was able to return before the Huskies' opening game of the year.
Clingan entered the starting lineup this season after Adama Sanogo declared for the 2023 NBA draft. The sophomore is averaging a career-high 13.9 points and 6.3 rebounds in 13 games for the defending national champions.
UConn is the fifth-ranked team in the country with a 10-2 record. The Huskies take on Big East foe St. John's on Saturday night.
