Report: Clemson finalizing new 6-year deal with Brownell
Clemson is finalizing a new six-year deal with head coach Brad Brownell, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel.
The agreement will keep Brownell with the program through 2031.
Brownell led the Tigers to a 27-6 overall record this season and an 18-2 mark in the ACC. They finished second in the conference behind AP No. 1 Duke.
The 56-year-old has been head coach of Clemson since 2010 and has led the program to six NCAA Tournament appearances. The Tigers reached the Sweet 16 in 2018 and made it to the Elite Eight last season for the first time since 1980.
Brownell received a five-year, $20-million contract following last season.
He's Clemson's all-time leader in victories with 292.
The Tigers kick off March Madness against McNeese State on Thursday in the Round of 64.
