Report: Ex-Kansas guard Storr transferring to Ole Miss
Former Kansas guard AJ Storr will play for Chris Beard at Ole Miss next season, a source told CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein on Tuesday.
Storr began his career with St. John's, where he received Big East All-Freshman honors after he started in 17 of his 33 games and averaged 8.8 points per contest. The Rockford, Illinois, native moved to Wisconsin for his sophomore campaign.
The 6-foot-7 Storr had his best season with the Badgers, averaging 16.8 points and 3.9 rebounds on 43.4/32.0/81.2 shooting splits. He was named to the 2024 All-Big Ten second team.
Storr tested for the 2024 NBA Draft but opted to return to school so he could capitalize on NIL. He reportedly sought a $1-million payout but ended up taking $750,000 from Kansas. Storr disappointed in his lone season with the Jayhawks, averaging a career-low 6.1 points on 38.4% shooting from the field and 29.1% from deep.
Storr becomes Ole Miss's second transfer commit, joining former LSU forward Corey Chest.
The Rebels also have two top-100 recruits from the 2025 class, according to ESPN's rankings.
Beard just wrapped up his second season in Oxford. The Rebels finished sixth in the SEC and had an overall record of 24-12. The school participated in its first NCAA Tournament since 2019, losing to Michigan State in the Sweet 16.
