Report: Ex-UCF big man Thiam joins Cincinnati
Former UCF center Moustapha Thiam will be playing for Wes Miller at Cincinnati next season, the Field of 68's Jeff Goodman reports.
The 7-foot-2 big man averaged 10.4 points and 6.4 rebounds in his freshman season. He was the Big 12's leading shot-blocker, averaging 2.6 rejections per game. Houston's Joseph Tugler was second in blocks at 1.9.
The Bearcats have been active in the transfer portal and already picked up a number of commitments, including Kerr Kriisa from Kentucky, Sencire Harris from West Virginia, and Jalen Haynes from George Mason.
Cincy finished 12th in its second season in the Big 12 with a 7-13 conference record and 19-16 overall record. The Bearcats missed the NCAA Tournament and finished the year as KenPom's 55th-ranked squad.
