Syracuse cuts down nets following improbable run to Final Four

Syracuse continued its improbable NCAA tournament run in dramatic fashion Sunday, erasing a 14-point halftime deficit to knock off No. 1 Virginia.
With the win, the Orange captured the Midwest Region and became the first No. 10 seed to advance to the Final Four. It's the fifth trip to the national semifinals for Jim Boeheim in his 39 years with the program.
Practically anybody not affiliated with the school had Syracuse going out early, but just two weeks after its controversial selection Sunday inclusion, the team was cutting down the nets in celebration.
First up was key freshman Tyler Lydon, who's been a force on the defensive end with 18 blocks through four games.

Next was senior leader Michael Gbinije, who's the leading scorer this season for the Orange.

DaJuan Coleman, was next to climb the ladder and clip his strand of the mesh.

The star of the game for the Orange was freshman Malachi Richardson, whose 21 second-half points helped Syracuse come back.

Last was Boeheim, who's no stranger to mesh-cutting ceremonies, and is now just two wins away from his second national championship.

The notoriously stoic coach even cracked a grin as he clipped the final pieces of mesh.
