Michigan State's Bryn Forbes breaks Big Ten 3-point record
To say Bryn Forbes is on fire Wednesday against Rutgers might be the understatement of the season.
The Michigan State senior guard drained a Big Ten-record 11 3-pointers on Wednesday, eclipsing the previous mark of 10, which had been held by Chris Hill of Michigan State, and Ohio State's Jon Diebler.
Forbes has been hot from behind the arc over the past month, making eight treys in a game against Michigan, and seven in the Spartans' matchup with Ohio State. For the season, the Michigan native is shooting 50 percent from deep, and appears to be in peak form as the NCAA tournament draws closer.
As impressive as Forbes' total is, it wasn't even the highest mark in college basketball this season. Iona sharpshooter A.J. English drilled 13 buckets from beyond the arc in a December contest against Fairfield.
