With Syracuse clinging to a one-point lead in the dying seconds against Gonzaga, Trevor Cooney came up with a huge game-sealing steal for the Orange.
Except the referees didn't see it that way. Despite the play happening in front of the official on the baseline, the trail referee ran in and ruled Cooney had stepped out of bounds.

Needless to say the Syracuse coaching staff didn't agree with the call.

Most teams would be deflated by this wrongful turn of events, but the Orange rebounded for a huge defensive stop and won the game 63-60.
