If Darius Thompson decides to stop playing basketball, he may have a career as a magician waiting for him.

The Virginia sophomore tossed in a layup that defied logic Sunday against Syracuse, driving to the basket and throwing up a high-arching floater that somehow found its way through the hoop.

His teammates responded accordingly to the improbable bucket.
