Minnesota's Chris Streveler to seek graduate transfer

Another year, another move for Chris Streveler, as Minnesota's quarterback-turned-receiver is transferring out of the program.

"The coaches at Minnesota have been awesome and said they would be willing to help me find another school," Streveler told Andy Greder of the Twin Cities Pioneer Press. "It's easier that there is no hard feelings on either end."

The redshirt sophomore began his collegiate career at the quarterback position, playing in five games during the 2014 season. He rushed for 161 yards against San Jose State, the third-most by a quarterback in school history.

Prior to the 2015 season, he made the move to receiver in hopes of more playing time, but after being told he would not start at the position, decided to transfer.

Streveler is on pace to graduate in May, therefore can take advantage of the NCAA graduate transfer rule making him eligible for next season. He also still has two years of eligibility remaining, which could make him an intriguing target for some programs.
