Turns out the knee is just fine.
Arizona State running back Kalen Ballage missed most of the first half Saturday against California after suffering an apparent knee injury, but showed no ill effects while leaping over a defender in the fourth quarter for a highlight play.
Ballage was taken to the locker room in the first half, but returned in the second half and helped the Sun Devils to a comeback win over Cal. The hurdle play would lead to a tie-breaking field goal that gave Arizona State a 37-34 lead.
