Watch: Virginia Tech fullbacks connect on awesome TD pass
Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports
The fullback may be a seldom-used position in football as more teams go to a spread-based attack, but Virginia Tech is doing all it can to keep it alive.
A fullback catching a touchdown pass is rare enough in today's game, but the Hokies got really wild and had another fullback throw the pass during Thursday's game against Miami.
Sam Rogers took the handoff from quarterback Jerod Evans, rolled to his right, and hit Steven Peoples in the end zone for the 13-yard score.
It was Rogers' third pass of his collegiate career, but his first for a touchdown.
