Former USC QB Max Browne transfers to Pitt
Max Browne has found a new home for his final collegiate season, as the former USC quarterback announced he'll transfer to Pitt and play for the Panthers as a graduate transfer in 2017.
The redshirt junior started the 2016 season as the Trojans' No. 1 quarterback, but was replaced by Sam Darnold prior to Week 4's matchup with Utah.
Browne said he would transfer for his final season of eligibility shortly after that, and has made his choice to move across the country to the ACC. The Washington native finished the campaign with 507 yards passing and two touchdowns.
Pitt will lose starting quarterback Nathan Peterman, along with offensive coordinator Matt Canada, after the season, so Browne likely stands a good chance of starting for the Panthers.
