Bobby Bowden cracks questionable joke about players' earrings
Oh boy. Bobby Bowden on players not having dads. "They wanna grow up to be men, like their momma. That's why they wear earrings." pic.twitter.com/iBhUueqEqw

Former Florida State legend Bobby Bowden is receiving some backlash for a comment he made during an appearance on ESPN's Mike and Mike Wednesday,
Bowden was discussing with hosts Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic about how many of his players came from homes with absentee-fathers, and that they lacked a positive male influence in their lives.
After praising the players' mothers for raising them without help, the 87-year-old told a joke that has him in hot water.
"I used to kid about this, they grew up and wanted to be like their mama, they wanted to be a man like their mama," Bowden said. "That's why they wear earrings ... I'm kidding about that."
