Shaq Wiggins announces transfer from Louisville
Shaq Wiggins is on the move yet again, as the Louisville cornerback announced Monday that he's transferring for the second time in his career.
"I would like to thank the University of Louisville for allowing me to be a part of such a great University and football program, but I have decided to part ways and transfer elsewhere," Wiggins said in a series of tweets.
Wiggins began his career at Georgia before following defensive coordinator Todd Grantham to Louisville after his freshman season. Grantham has since left for the same position at Mississippi State, so it wouldn't be much of a shock to see Wiggins land with the Bulldogs for next season.
Wiggins was a starter for the 2015 season, but saw his role diminished last year due to injuries. He appeared in eight games and registered eight tackles.
As per NCAA regulations, Wiggins is immediately eligible under the graduate transfer rule.
