Ohio State lands commitment from 4-star DT Taron Vincent
Ohio State scored a pledge from the nation's top-ranked defensive tackle in the class of 2018 on Sunday, as four-star Florida native Taron Vincent committed to the Buckeyes.
Not only is Vincent the top-ranked player at his position, but ESPN lists the 6-foot-2, 299-pounder as the 15th-best overall prospect in the country.
Vincent's commitment continues Urban Meyer's lengthy success of recruiting in Florida, as the Buckeyes have landed top prospects Shaun Wade, Nick Bosa, Torrance Gibson, Johnnie Dixon, and Joey Bosa in recent years.
Vincet, an IMG Academy standout, was courted by a number of big-time programs across the country, including Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, and Oklahoma before deciding to head north to Ohio State.
