LSU expects star defender Arden Key back in June
LSU's star pass-rusher Arden Key looks set to return to the team for the start of summer semester after taking a leave of absence for personal reasons this spring.
"I expect him to be back in summer school in June," head coach Ed Orgeron said at a function Friday as per Ross Dellenger of The Advocate. "(He's) doing very well. Still has things he's working on."
Orgeron also said that the team is targeting the June 5 start of summer semester as the date Key would return to the program, allowing him to take part in summer workouts.
Key is entering his junior season and is expected to be a first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. After being named a freshman All-American in 2015, he followed that up with a dominant campaign as a sophomore, finishing with 12 sacks, 56 tackles, and three forced fumbles.
