Baker Mayfield added to his expanding resume Thursday night when the Oklahoma star won the Davey O'Brien Award for the nation's best quarterback.
The standout senior received the honor over fellow finalists Mason Rudolph of Oklahoma State and Ohio State's J.T. Barrett.
Mayfield led the nation in completion percentage, passing efficiency rating, yards per attempt, and yards per completion. The 6-foot-1, 220-pounder threw for 4,340 yards and 41 touchdowns this season against just five interceptions.
The Sooners face Georgia in the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day with a berth in the CFP title game on the line.
