TCU's Jordan says HC Patterson used racial slur at practice
Warning: Story contains coarse language
TCU linebacker Dylan Jordan said Monday that head coach Gary Patterson used the N-word multiple times during Sunday's practice.
"This past Sunday was our third practice of fall camp, (and) coach Patterson called me out for posting my girlfriend on (National Girlfriend Day) in front of the defense," Jordan wrote on Twitter. "As practice moved on, he approached me and I told him, 'You should've just asked me about it.'
"He then said, 'You're a f------ brat, I'll send you back to Pitt (Pittsburgh, Kansas).' I said, 'For what? I ain't did nothing.' He followed with, 'You've been saying n------ in the meeting room.'"
Jordan said players refused to practice Monday after learning of Patterson's alleged words. He added Patterson went to the locker room and said, "I wasn't calling him a n-----."
Former Horned Frogs defensive back Niko Small, who also accused Patterson of using a racial slur in front of players, supported Jordan's message. Small retweeted Jordan's post, writing, "To all the people that thought I was lying."
TCU tight end Artayvious Lynn defended Patterson against the allegations, insisting that while the slur shouldn't ever be used, the head coach wasn't directing it at Jordan.
