LSU lands 4-star QB Walker Howard
Quarterback Walker Howard announced his commitment to LSU's 2022 class on Friday.
Howard is considered a four-star quarterback and the No. 3-ranked pocket-passer in 2022, according to 247Sports.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pounder chose the Tigers over offers from Alabama, Texas A&M, and Penn State, among others.
Howard said his family guided his decision.
"During quarantine I was thinking a lot, and my dad and I sat down and talked about where I would be happiest," Howard said, according to Sonny Shipp of 247Sports. "Where do I see myself living the next four to five years, and I'm a big family guy, so I wanted to stay close to my family. So why not make my decision now and start recruiting my class."
Howard's father, Jamie, played quarterback at LSU from 1992-95, and his two sisters are currently enrolled at the school.
Howard also knows his decision to join LSU would make his mother, Kathryn, happy. She died from cancer in 2018.
"I'm very excited and I know she is smiling down on me right now and is happy as can be," he said. "I know my mom is proud of me right now for committing to LSU ... She always talked about how cool it would be for me to play at LSU and I'm making that a reality now."
The Tigers are preparing for life after Joe Burrow, who was drafted in April after posting a historic campaign at LSU. The school, which is set to start redshirt junior Myles Brennan in 2020, recently added four-star quarterback Garrett Nussmeier to its 2021 class.
