Quarterback Trey Lance will appear at least once more for North Dakota State.

The Bison have signed a contract to play Central Arkansas on Oct. 3 in Fargo, North Dakota, sources told Pete Thamel of Yahoo Sports.

The exhibition game is expected to be North Dakota State's only contest in 2020, as the school canceled its fall football campaign due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Lance is widely projected to be a high first-round pick when he declares for the NFL draft, but the season postponement leaves his future unclear. The standout signal-caller completed 66.9% of his pass attempts for 2,786 yards and 28 touchdowns against zero interceptions as a redshirt freshman last year, helping the Bison finish the 2019 campaign 16-0.

The team, which now owns a 31-0 record since 2018, has won three straight Division I FCS national titles and eight of the past nine championship games.
