Miami fired offensive coordinator Josh Gattis after just one season, the program announced Friday, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel.
Gattis' removal comes just one year after he took home the Broyles Award as the nation's best assistant coach for his work at Michigan in 2021.
The coordinator struggled to get Miami to replicate the success he brought to the Wolverines. The Hurricanes averaged 23.6 points per game in 2022, a steep decrease from the 34.1 points per contest they posted the previous year.
Miami finished with a 5-7 record last campaign, the program's first season under head coach Mario Cristobal.
