CFB win totals 1st look: Can Memphis claim its stake atop the AAC?
We've covered win totals from the Big Ten, SEC, ACC, Big 12, and Pac-12. Now it's time for win totals from the Group of 5, which includes the AAC, Conference USA, Mountain West, Sun Belt, and MAC.
I only have one win total best bet from the Group of 5, and it comes from the AAC. However, the AAC win totals and the favorites in each conference are below.

Memphis over 7.5 wins
Memphis' program is trending up in the AAC, a conference that had three teams - Houston, Cincinnati, and UCF - depart for the Big 12. With those squads off the schedule, the Tigers can sneak back into contention in the conference. The Tigers lost to Houston and UCF last season.
Now that Memphis has a much easier schedule, its 7.5-win total, despite short odds, is frankly disrespectful for a team that won six games last campaign.
The Tigers' hardest conference matchups are against Tulane and SMU. The buzz around Tulane is as high as ever after a magical 12-2 season, but the program is due for a regression. SMU's starting quarterback Tanner Mordecai transferred to Wisconsin, creating uncertainty in Dallas.
Memphis' biggest challenge is Missouri, the only Power 5 team on the schedule. The Tigers are projected favorites in every game except Tulane and Missouri.
Seth Henigan enters his third season with Memphis as one of the best quarterbacks in the AAC. He's thrown for over 6,880 yards and 47 touchdowns across the last two campaigns. Along with a great running game, Memphis' offense is one of the best in the conference.
The Tigers can restore their spot as the head honcho in the AAC. Memphis shouldn't earn just eight wins; they could reach double digits and return to a prominent bowl game.
