Ohio State received a commitment from defensive lineman Eddrick Houston on Tuesday, according to On3's Hayes Fawcett.

Houston is the No. 32 prospect on the ESPN 300 for the class of 2024. He ranks as the eighth-best defensive end recruit.

Ohio State's 2024 class now features 13 ESPN 300 members, including the No. 4 defensive tackle Justin Scott and the No. 4 linebacker Payton Pierce.

The 6-foot-3, 250-pounder says he was drawn to the program's proven track record and culture. "Just knowing that they can develop me on and off the field and make me the greatest I can be," Houston said of his decision, per Fawcett. "(Defensive line coach) Larry Johnson is an amazing coach that has shown multiple times that he can develop people into someone who can go to the next level."

The Buckeyes ranked 35th in the nation in total sacks last year with 34.

Houston committed to Ohio State over USC, Clemson, Georgia, and Alabama, among other offers.
