Top-25 recruit Kaliq Lockett committed to Texas over Alabama, Florida State, LSU and Texas A&M, he announced Wednesday.
Lockett is a four-star receiver and the No. 23 overall recruit in the 2025 class, according to ESPN. He's also rated as the fourth-best wide receiver in the 2025 recruiting pool.
A Texas native, Lockett becomes the highest-graded recruit in the Longhorns' 2025 class, per ESPN. He is the school's 11th four-star recruit for the year.
"It's hard to say no to your home state," Lockett said, according to On3's Steve Wiltfong. "Especially if it's a school you've been liking. You're from the state of Texas and everyone talks about them."
