Report: LSU star Perkins out for season due to torn ACL
LSU linebacker Harold Perkins is expected to miss the rest of the season due to the knee injury he sustained during Saturday's win over UCLA, a source told Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.
Perkins is reportedly believed to have suffered a torn ACL.
Perkins' injury is a massive blow to LSU, which improved to 3-1 this season after beating the Bruins. The former five-star recruit recorded 17 tackles (two for loss) in 2024 while recovering one fumble.
A dynamic playmaker who can execute different roles at the linebacker position, Perkins has been regarded as a potential first-round pick by NFL scouts in 2025.
He recorded 28 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, and seven forced fumbles in 31 appearances across three years at LSU. Perkins claimed a first-team All-SEC berth in 2022 and a second-team All-SEC nod last year.
