Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava is in concussion protocol and his status for the team's Week 12 contest against Georgia is undetermined, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel.
Head coach Josh Heupel believes Iamaleava is in "great shape" to play against the Bulldogs despite his official undetermined status, Thamel adds.
Iamaleava exited the Volunteers' Week 11 win over Mississippi State due to injury. He completed 8 of 13 pass attempts for 174 yards and two touchdowns before being sidelined. Gaston Moore replaced the 20-year-old and would likely start against Georgia if Iamaleava is unable to play.
Iamaleava's thrown for 1,879 yards, 11 touchdowns, and four interceptions on 65.2% passing this season.
