Oregon clinches spot in Big Ten title game
The undefeated Oregon Ducks have clinched their spot in the Big Ten championship game, the conference announced Tuesday.
The conference came to the conclusion Tuesday after conducting a "comprehensive evaluation of all possible scenarios over the final two weeks," which determined that the 11-0 Ducks could finish no worse than second in the conference.
Oregon defeated Wisconsin 16-13 on Saturday to keep its perfect season alive.
The Ducks were No. 1 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings.
Oregon is set to get a big boost with top wideout Tez Johnson stating on Instagram on Tuesday that he's returning to the field, per ESPN's Pete Thamel. Johnson has been sidelined since injuring his shoulder in a contest against Michigan on Nov. 2.
The conference title game is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. ET.
