Texas started the Early Signing Period with a bang on Wednesday by signing Michael Terry Jr., the nation's third-ranked athlete in the Class of 2025.
Terry, who was one of the top remaining uncommitted players in the country, chose to stay in-state and play for the Longhorns over offers from other programs including Oregon, Nebraska and Texas A&M.
ESPN grades the San Antonio native as the 30th-best player in the country and the ninth-best prospect in the talent-rich state of Texas.
His addition gives Texas a whopping eight players inside the top 100 prospects in the country. The Longhorns had already secured commitments from the nation's top athlete, Jonah Williams, and two of the top four receivers, Jaime Ffrench and Kaliq Lockett.
