Report: Grubb reuniting with DeBoer as Alabama's OC
Alabama is set to hire Ryan Grubb as its offensive coordinator, sources told ESPN's Adam Rittenberg.
Grubb, formerly the Seattle Seahawks' offensive coordinator, also worked as Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer's offensive coordinator from 2022-23 when the latter was Washington's sideline boss. The pair also worked together at Fresno State in 2017-18 and 2020-21.
Alabama's offensive coordinator in 2024 was Nick Sheridan. The program ranked 42nd in yards (410.2) and 22nd in points (33.8) per game en route to a 9-4 record in the first season following legendary head coach Nick Saban's retirement.
Grubb will call offensive plays for the Crimson Tide, ESPN's Pete Thamel reports.
The 48-year-old's Seahawks unit averaged 332.2 yards and 22.1 points per contest during the 2024 campaign.
