NCAA disallows spring game between Colorado, Syracuse

The NCAA's FBS Oversight Committee will not recommend a waiver to permit Colorado and Syracuse to face each other in the spring, according to On3's Griffin McVeigh.

The committee cited academic concerns, potential recruiting advantages, and other programs likely being unable to schedule a similar game, per McVeigh.

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders proposed a spring game against another program earlier in March. Syracuse bench boss Fran Brown appeared to accept the invitation on X shortly after.

Multiple programs, including Nebraska and Texas, have announced they won't hold a spring game this year.
