Five-star defensive end Richard Wesley decommitted from Oregon weeks after announcing his intentions to join the Ducks' 2026 class, sources told ESPN's Eli Lederman.

Wesley, a California native, is the 18th overall recruit on the ESPN 300. He went viral for originally announcing his commitment by jumping in a pool with Oregon head coach Dan Lanning.

The 6-foot-5, 250-pound edge rusher is a junior in high school but reclassified into the 2026 recruiting cycle in March. The top-three defensive end is still scheduled to take official visits to Oregon and Texas in June before an August trip to Ohio State, Lederman reports.

Several 2026 five-star prospects remain available, including defensive tackle Lamar Brown, the nation's top-ranked player.

Five-star tight end Kendre' Harrison is the highest-ranked ESPN 300 prospect committed to Oregon.
