Penn State's Allar out for season with leg injury
Penn State quarterback Drew Allar will miss the remainder of the season with an injury, coach James Franklin announced following the Nittany Lions' 22-21 loss Saturday to Northwestern, according to Evan Smith of the Daily Collegian.
Allar was carted to the locker room in the game's final minutes after appearing to suffer a lower leg injury on a running play.

Allar completed 13 of 20 pass attempts for 137 yards with no touchdowns and one interception before exiting. He also had six carries for 25 yards and a touchdown.
The quarterback's senior year will end with eight passing touchdowns and three interceptions. However, Penn State struggled to live up to its preseason expectations as Saturday's loss dropped it to 3-3.
Allar entered the 2025 season with 49 touchdown passes to just 10 interceptions over the 2023 and 2024 campaigns, along with 10 rushing scores.
Allar is considered to be a potential top prospect in the 2026 NFL Draft.
