Auburn's Mincy accepted into pretrial diversion program following arrest for marijuana possession

Auburn cornerback Jonathon Mincy was accepted into a pretrial diversion program Friday following his June arrest for marijuana possession, per the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.
As part of the agreement, Mincy had to pay $1,156 in fines and waived "his right to a jury trial and a speedy trial." If he completes the community service and classes that will be required as part of the program and remains out of trouble for 12 months (sometimes less), then the charge will be dismissed, according to Mincy's attorney Matthew Clement Lamere.
The Tigers have yet to announce any punishment for Mincy. He started all 14 games for Auburn last season, recording 56 tackles, 14 passes defended and one interception.
