VIDEO: 7-foot, 380-pound lineman playing high school football
There's no denying football is a sport largely dominated by big men, but we've never really seen someone this big before. Dondre Harris, the starting defensive tackle at Essex High School in Tappahannock, Virginia, stands an incredible seven feet tall and tips the scales at 380 pounds.
Harris, who has also played on the offensive line, is the tallest defensive lineman in the nation and likely the tallest overall playing high school football. Entering his senior season, Harris has yet to receive much attention from college coaches, which probably has to do with his lack of mobility.
In the video below you can see he lacks the foot speed to keep up with the play, but his size alone should be intriguing to at least a few coaches that could figure out a way to utilize such an imposing figure.
For comparison's sake, the tallest person taken in the 2014 NFL Draft was Daniel McCullers, a 6-foot-7 defensive tackle selected in the sixth round by the Pittsburgh Steelers. If Harris is that much bigger than the draft's tallest player, it's no surprise to see him aboslutely tower over opponents in high school.
