Top 5 college football GIFs of the year
College football's regular season has come and gone, and now that we're in the midst of bowlmania and the inaugural College Football Playoff, it's time to reflect on the exciting season that was.
Here we take a look back at five of the best moments the internet captured in 2014.
When football becomes sort of like wrestling
Michigan State defensive end Shilique Calhoun wasn't satisfied with just tackling Purdue running back Akeem Hunt, he wanted to slam him to the ground.
Hunt went on to continue playing in the Boilermakers' 45-31 loss, but we can't imagine he was running at 100 percent.
Sneaky, sneaky
The AP poll had Oklahoma ranked No. 10 at one point in the season, and after making plays like this, we could see why.
Against West Virginia, Sooners quarterback Trevor Knight ran a toss play to running back Samaje Perine, who then handed the ball to receiver Durron Neal. Neal then channeled his inner quarterback, chucking the ball to a wide-open Knight in the end zone.
Welcome to heartbreak
You had to feel for Houston quarterback Greg Ward Jr. on this one.
Down 17-12 against UCF with less than a minute left in the game, Ward Jr. dove into the end zone to score the game's go-ahead touchdown.
At least, that's what would have happened if he hung onto the ball.

The phantom pass rush
Nebraska's Jake Cotton knew the Huskers' game against Michigan State would be a hard-nosed battle, but he wasn't prepared for the phantom pass rush the Spartans cooked up.
Now you see me
Back on the list is Houston quarterback Greg Ward Jr. and to say that he faked out Temple linebacker Haason Reddick would be an understatement.
It may not have been the most important juke of the year, but Ward Jr.'s efforts kept the Cougars' drive alive, while making Reddick look silly.
