LSU quarterbacks gear up for spring competition
Here we go again.
Last year, sophomore Anthony Jennings and true freshman Brandon Harris battled for LSU's starting quarterback job. 2015 will be no different as head coach Les Miles announced that both signal callers will duke it out for the opportunity to enter next season as the starter, according to The Advocate's Ross Dellenger.
“This will be a very competitive spring,” Miles said. “Out of spring, I’d like to pick another starter. It could be Anthony. It could be, certainly, Brandon. Competition will have to continue there.”
Jennings played in every game this season and threw for 1,611 yards, 11 touchdowns and seven interception, but only completed 48 percent of his passes.
Harris threw for 452 yards, six touchdowns and two interceptions in eight games.
