Minnesota running back Shannon Brooks has one nasty stiff arm, and Purdue safety Brandon Roberts found that out the hard way Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Gophers freshman laid Roberts out with a shove to his chest, sending him flying, as part of a 71-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
The score made it 17-0 Minnesota, and things only got worse for Purdue from there, as the Gophers outscored the Boilermakers 28-0 in the third quarter. Brooks finished with a career-high 176 rushing yards in Minnesota's 41-13 victory.
