Report: Georgia to start Faton Bauta at QB vs. Florida
Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports
Saturday's matchup in Jacksonville between Florida and Georgia just got a little more interesting, as Gridironnow.com reports the Bulldogs will start backup quarterback Faton Bauta.
Georgia has struggled as of late, losing two of its last three games; the team also failed to score a touchdown in its win against Missouri. During that three-game stretch, starter Greyson Lambert completed only 54 percent of his passes.
There was speculation Bauta would see some action against the Gators earlier in the week.
Bauta has appeared in just 14 games in his career, completing 4-of-5 passes for 48 yards and rushing for 46 yards with two touchdowns. He'll face a stout Florida defense allowing just 17 points per game.
