VIDEO: Utah punter wins award, then interview with amazing 'fat' guy comment

Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

Utah's Tom Hackett won the Ray Guy Award as the nation's best punter Thursday night, becoming the second player ever to win in back-to-back years.

While that distinction is certainly noteworthy, it's what the Australian said in his post-award interview with ESPN's Chris Fowler that instantly made him everybody's favorite player.

Hackett grew up playing Aussie Rules football and when Fowler asked him why he made the switch to American football, the 23-year-old channeled his inner fat guy.

Utah's Ray Guy Award winner Tom Hackett gives his honest answer for why he is a CFB punter.

"I'm fat and I don't like running very far."

It looks as though we've all found a player we can relate to.
