Texas Tech's Davis Webb to transfer
Dan Friend-USA TODAY Sports
Texas Tech quarterback Davis Webb announced he'll be transferring after graduating in the spring.
Webb lost his starting job to Patrick Mahomes this season, and only attempted 41 passes for the Red Raiders in 2015.
The junior was productive in his two years as a starter, and totaled 5,557 yards passing and 46 touchdowns under center at Texas Tech.
Webb is expected to use the graduate transfer rule, deeming him eligible to play in the 2016 season, no matter where he lands.
