Report: Michigan's Will Johnson to miss 2nd straight game vs. Oregon
Michigan won't have one of its best defenders against the nation's top-ranked team this week.
All-American cornerback Will Johnson will miss another game Saturday against Oregon due to a lower-body injury, sources told Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.
Johnson originally sustained the injury against Illinois on Oct. 19 and was sidelined during last week's win over Michigan State.
The star defensive back - projected to be a top-10 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft - has posted 14 tackles (one for loss), three pass breakups, and two pick-6s this season. Johnson has allowed only a 52.6 passer rating on 26 targets in 2024, according to PFF.
Oregon enters this week's matchup with an 8-0 record. Owners of one of the nation's deepest groups of wide receivers, the Ducks' WR depth chart is headlined by Tez Johnson and Evan Stewart.
