Fantasy Fallout: Blake Snell's Return Provides a Ray of Hope For Darvish Owners
Here are the fantasy repercussions following the Texas Rangers decision to place SP Yu Darvish back on the 15-day DL:

Season-Long Fantasy
Fantasy owners who drafted and stashed Darvish for this season were dealt with a tease and a glimmer of hope. He returned from Tommy John surgery on May 28 and made three starts before heading back to the shelf. In those three starts he had a 2.87 ERA, a 1.14 WHIP and 19 strikeouts in 15 2/3 innings.
Even if you're out of DL spots, Darvish is well worth the use of a roster spot during his absence.
It's expected that LHP Cesar Ramos will take Darvish's spot in the rotation for the time being. Ramos has a 2.76 ERA in three outings as a starter this season, but he doesn't have fantasy value in anything other than extremely deep leagues or AL-only formats.

Waiver Wire Targets
- SP Blake Snell, Rays: Snell, the fifth-best pitching prospect in all of baseball, per MLB.com, will start for the Rays on Thursday. He made his big league debut in April, pitching five innings of one-run ball, allowing two hits, one walk and striking out six against the New York Yankees. He could be here to stay this time with the Super 2 deadline in the rear-view mirror.
- SP James Paxton, Mariners: The list of left-handed starters who throw 100 MPH starts and ends with Paxton. In three starts this season, Paxton has a 2.25 ERA with 24 strikeouts in 16 innings. The 27-year-old was very highly touted coming through Seattle's farm system, and finally seems to be living up to the hype. Add him before his 20 percent ownership increases.
- SP R.A. Dickey, Blue Jays: Dickey struggled through his usual rough month of April, but flipping over the calendar seems to do wonders for the knuckleballer. In May and June, Dickey's ERA sits at 2.81. He can be a mainstay on your fantasy team, as he always excels in the latter portion of the season. He is available in 81 percent of leagues.
