The finalists for the major college football awards, other than the Heisman Trophy, were announced on Monday with Jabrill Peppers, Lamar Jackson, and Baker Mayfield leading the way.
That trio found themselves as finalists for the Maxwell Award, given to the best overall player in the country. Jackson and Mayfield are also finalists for the Davey O'Brien Award, given to the top quarterback, while Peppers is up for the Bednarik Award for best defensive player.
