Wesley Bryan collected his first PGA Tour victory Sunday at the RBC Heritage, edging Luke Donald by one shot.

Bryan shot a final-round 67 to post 13-under for the week, and becomes the first South Carolinian to win at Hilton Head.

"Of all places, right back here is where the first one goes down? I'm going to remember this for a long time," Bryan told CBS after the round.

The PGA Tour rookie started his round with a bogey at the par-4 third, his first in 42 holes, but rebounded making four straight birdies, and made the turn in 33.

On the back nine, the former Gamecock made a 9-foot birdie putt at the 13th, then took the lead for the first time with another birdie at the 15th.

After Donald failed to birdie the final hole, the 27-year-old two-putted for the win, which earns him a trip to the 2018 Masters.

"I'm looking forward to it," said Bryan, who now lives in Augusta, Ga. "I get to sleep in my own bed, and tee it up."

The Englishman's second place showing is his seventh top-3 finish at the event since 2009, but has yet to win at Harbour Town.

Patrick Cantlay, Ollie Schiederjans, and William McGirt tied for third place at 11-under par.

Jason Dufner, the 54-hole leader struggled all day, shooting a 5-over-par 76, slipping into a tie for eleventh place.
